We'll show you some April snow!!!! |
Near the beginning |
Getting started |
Shaping our styrofoam to resemble our maquettes made from clay |
Delaney: "This is the easiest job in the world!" (Holding the styrofoam together:) |
Lessons from Mrs. Purney |
The very beginning (pics not in order). Notice the clean floor and defined edges of the sculptures in waiting. |
Before we began. Mrs. Purney came with the styrofoam arranged to semi-resemble the maquettes students made. |
Discussing figurative language |
Figurative language |
Max...Making sense of figurative language in his own way |
Yep. Pretty much how we all looked at the end! |
Kaiyli and Emma hard at work! |
The after shot. Looks like icebergs and ice chunks in a mucky sea. |
Hudson, right after our practice tornado drill. (Notice the styrofoam on his eyelashes.) |
A little extra fun right before we cleaned up. |
Lookin' good. Takin' shape. |
The AFTER picture. Can you believe it?!?!? While we expect to see tiny little styrofoam balls for weeks to come, the kids and adults did a marvelous job cleaning up.....until the CEMENT tomorrow! |
